The Detective bureau has had as many as 5 investigators including a designated
for Child Support Enforcement Officer, and a secretary assigned to it.
The bureau conducts follow up investigations on most criminal complaints taken by the uniform division.
In 2012 the bureau worked 1,003 criminal cases. However, due to budget cuts the Bureau has been reduced by 2 Detectives.
Our Detectives work extremely close with the other agencies in and around Ashland county.
The Sheriff's office is a participating member of the METRICH DRUG task force.
