Detective Bureau
The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau is responsible for conducting criminal investigations on all felony level complaints. The types of investigations include burglaries, breaking & entering, shootings, sexual assaults, homicides, robberies, stolen vehicles and arsons. Investigations into missing and/or runaway juveniles are also conducted by the Detective Bureau.
The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office is a member of the M.E.T.R.I.C.H. Drug Task force. We currently have two narcotics detectives that are responsible for all drug investigations in the county. They are a part of a new drug task force (2 ACSO detectives, 2 APD detectives and 1 LPD detective) established to cooperatively investigate drug cases in Ashland County.
Members of the Detective Bureau work closely with other agencies in the county and surrounding counties to solve crimes.
